Air Duct Cleaning procedure may vary slightly per job depending on the configuration of the ductwork. Our air duct cleaning company consistently invests in the most modern technology and air duct cleaning equipment such as HEPA filter powerful vacuums that are truck mounted. The air duct cleaning process Healthy Air Duct Cleaning Services follows are in strict accordance with NADCA standards. The procedure we use is called "positive-negative method" and is described below.
First we locate the HVAC system, to determine where to make the 8 inch incisions, one for the supply side, also one on the return side. Then the vacuum is connected to ductwork. Next vent covers are removed in the home. We start at the vent furthest away from the main system. Then we stick an agitator into the duct lines that basically whips the inner walls of the duct line, pushing all debris toward the vacuum source. The agitator is a hose with a vented ball rubber whip on the end of it. This supplies approximately 200 pounds of compressed air per square inch. This is called the positive-negative method, and is the way NADCA mandates that duct cleaning be prerformed. Also we have the brush for customers that rather there duct lines be brushed. The return duct work is cleaned the same way. When finished all vent covers are put back and all access cuts are sealed thoroughly. Access cuts are sealed with pre-fabricated sheet metal, which are attached with self tapping screws, then sealed with foil tape. This leaves a convenient access door for future ductwork maintenence, and will not leak at all.
